Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death Syndrome
(SUND) is characterized by sudden death during sleep in healthy young adults, particulary of Southeast Asian descent.

Prevalence:
Over 100 cases have been reported. The rates for different Southeast Asian groups with sudden unexplained nocturnal death syndrome among male refugees settled in the United States are as follows:
A. Hmong Laotians: 92 per 100000
B. Other Laotians: 82 per 100000
C. Kampucheans: 59 per 100000
